Was nice to see Cumbria (my home County) on Countryfile tonight

... especially at the end, Mark Elliott and Spot. Allan bred Spot

Where are you from.? I'm from cumbria too,Windermere/Ambleside area.

I was born in Kendal and lived in Bowston (a tiny hamlet between Kendal and Windermere) for the first few years of my life, and then moved to Grange over Sands until I moved out when I was 19 years My parents and one of my sister's still live there.

I was born in kendal hospital,lived at Bowness until I was 13 then we moved to Kendal,but I still went to the Lakes school,so I didn't realy make any friends in Kendal.

I was born in Kendal Maternity Hospital too (Helme Chase?).

It is a shame when that happens Even though we lived in Grange and all my friends went to Cartmel Priory secondary school, I was sent to the RC school in Lancaster, and so lost touch with loads of my friends from Grange, and then ended up spending more time with friends in Lancaster.

Yep Helme chase for me to.,but I was born a loooooong time ago,I celebrated my 50th yesterday.
