Can you freeze dog food?

I was wondering what you do with left over dog food. I will eventually be feeding panda natures harvest dog food which comes in a tray and is similar to nature diet in consistency. However I will only need to be feeding him 1/4-3/4 of a packet a day and as I will be mixing it with kibble, probably 1/4, at least at the begining when he is so small. That means a tray will last up to 4 days to begin with but it says refridgerate for 24 hours. Can I freeze it in portion sized amounts and get it out the day before to defrost?

I freeze partial tins of Butchers Tripe Mix with no problems - just put it into a sealed plastic container, and defrost before serving. Comes out absolutely fine. I did consult the company, and they said it would be find to do this.

Ah that's great!

I didn't want to waste loads of trays just because he is so small, especially when I am switching him to it as he will have even less then.
