Dremel question

Going to get a Dremel or similar, both for grinding dog's nails and also for engraving tags. Any idea which attachments would be suitable? I looked in B&Q and there were loads! I didn't know where to begin.

Any thoughts?

The basic one comes with a few atachments.
You need the sanding drum with the emery round things that go over the dum bit for dogs nails.

They have an engraving bit also I think that comes n the basic kitalso.

They aways have specials on I would go on their web site or collar a nice person at the local DIY store

Aldi had an offer on last week so some may still be available, cracking tool similar to the dremmel(which I have but wont allow him to use it when working on machinery), it they also sell a full accessory kit lot more than I got with my dremel.may be worth having a look

Avoid the stone blocks, these get far too hot. The best ones as mentioned above are the the sand paper rings (that look llike hulahoops) and the dummy drums. I didn't buy a dremmel as such, I bought an electric grinder (same principle) but designed for pets and was much quieter than any other I'd used.

This is the one you need, a basic one. They will come with a few bits, but these are the sanding rings/bands. you need, I use the finer ones rather than the coarse ones.

Thanks all! Will pop to Aldi on the way to agility later, and if I have no luck will go to B&Q tomorrow. They do their own brand one that you can use dremel attachments with.

Are dremmels noisy?

I'm interested in getting one, but there would be no point if they are noisy as I think the noise would terrify Meeka and Bugzy.

Yeah, I'd be lying if I said they weren't noisy, even the pet ones are noisy

If it is for a small dog then the pedipaws might be OK, just not really man enough for a big dog. It is pretty quite.
