Bark at the Bend and Deaf dogs

The SPCA here in Red Deer has an annual fundraiser called the Bark at the Bend. As another Central Alberta Rescue, we were invited to have a booth there. And, as I specialize in deaf dogs, I was invited to do another demo on deaf dogs (I did one last year) Scout and Mouse came with me, as well as 6 of our rescue pups. Well i have been looking for more deaf dogs since I adopted my first one, I wanted to meet more. I knew about several other deafies, but never managed to be in the right place at the right time.... Well it happened this weekend! 2 other's showed up at the event and helped me with my demo!!! I was so stoked!!!

This is Piglet, a deaf mutt of unknown origins

This is Bosco, a Deaf Olde English Bulldogge

And here's all 4 deaf dogs together

and Mouse, Scout and Bosco together

And some of our puppies

So yes, I had a PERFECT weekend!!!

Aww, lovely photos and gorgeous dogs

pleased to hear what a lovely weekend you had

PS To me Piglet looks like he has a lot of border collie in him.

Yes, I do believe that Piglet is a border collie cross... maybe with a white GSD, or a husky.

On another note, Scout, Mouse and I were in the local paper yesterday! here's the link:

It's nice to see deaf dogs getting some publicity!!!
