Well, just to make my getting sickness benefit even harder.......I received this in the post.....

Dear Miss P,
YOUR CLAIM FOR EMPLOYMENT AND SUPPORT ALLOWANCE

I am writing to tell you that the medical certificate that you sent us, which covers the period from 17th June 2009 to 14th July 2009 is about to run out.

Please send us another medical certificate by 15th July 2009 if you are still sick and cannot work..............'



Please tell me it's April fools day!

Why would anyone in their right mind send a letter dated 26 August asking for something by 15 July.?????? I am about speechless!! Send a copy to your MP.

The thing is, they already have my sick note dated 14th July, that ends 14th October!
They've had it since about 16/17th July!

I've had similar letters even though I'm on a Med 4 & have been to the Med exam & am not due to be reviewed until August 2011-by which time I will 61 & on my Retirement Pension & works pension obviously they haven't realized that

I'm actually still on Incapacity as I was in receipt before they brought in the new benefit !!

I'm beginning to understand their mentality... I mean, if they can do their jobs without a single functioning braincell, what does it take to prevent the rest of us from working?
