Can't believe what we just saw in the park!

Just came back from the park with OH and Cassie and as we were walking into the park entrance we noticed a couple with a tiny little puppy.
At first from a distance I thought it was a tiny little terrier but as we got closer I realised it was a VERY young pup.
The woman picked the pup up as we got closer and I stopped to have a fuss (as you do). I asked how old the pup was and she said 7 WEEKS
What were they doing letting a 7 week old pup with no innoculations down on the ground in a park where thousands of dogs walk? Turns out it is a little Rotty pup, gorgeous wee thing but OMG should hardly be away from it's mum.
Unfortunately this couple were not the 'type' for me to feel comfortable talking to about how irresponsible they were being...if you get my drift I just feel so sorry for this wee pup and just hope she turns out ok. I can only hope that they actually get the wee thing to a vet and do the right thing by her.
How can people be so damned stupid?

that is awful... deacon is 9 weeks and has had his 1st jabs, but until he is still not going out until at least a week after the 2nd lot....walking around with pups is one thing... but to let the pup on the floor... just asking for trouble

I know, I remember carrying Cassie around to socialise her a bit before she'd had her shots. To be honest, I wanted to take the pup off them as they hadn't a clue but they were really rough and neither of us thought it would have ended nicely

No brains, some people........

Even if you had spoken to them, Jackie, I doubt very much whether they would "get it"

They might not be stupid Jackie-just uneducated.I too have met people with very young pups and most of the time they're unaware that it shouldnt be outside until all jabs have been done.If its their first dog-its down to lack of experience.

Ignorance sometimes shouldnt be confused with stupidity.
