Sterile nodular panniculitis

Has anyone heard of this? The vet at the vet college thinks my dog may have this. She has had a few bumps (abcesses) and had surgery on one but the tissue biopsy came back negative. There was no bacteria. They keep reaccuring and weep and get swollen and pretty ugly. Last summer she was diagnosed with IBD which is an autoimmune disorder. It seems that these two things could be related to one another. She also was diagnosed with very low neutrifils (wht blood cells) They have improved but seem to cycle up and down. She is a very weird case. Any insight into this would be helpful. I'm going crazy with worry. These abcesses or bumps with the weeping seem to be a chronic condition. We have been dealing with this for a few months now. HELP!
