Fitting long addresses on dog tags!

Is a pain, trying to order some for mine once I move back to my parents and am struggling to find some that can fit it all on.
Need space for 22 letters and spaces in the first line of my address. Any ideas that are cheap as I hope to not be there long?

Hmmm, tempting.
I just think someone is more likely to bring them back if they got lost if they have a full address, what it they dont have internet and cant take the dog home to use a phone?
Maybe Im overthinking this?!

You don't even need the address on it according to the law.
But I have my house number and postcode.

I think you are over thinking it! I'm sure SOMEONE will have a phone....don't most people carry a mobile these days?
Or if dog is dropped off at a vets, they can phone you, etc.

I just have my phone numbers (mobile/landline) and postcode. My address is long and couldn't fit it all on.

In fairness, I think if someone is the sort of person to return a dog to their owner, they'd be the sort of person that would source an address from the house number/postcode, or phone number, and try to find out by asking around if they didn't have access to a phone/internet.

If your dogs are microchipped, it would be (IMO) worth putting "microchipped" on their tags, or "microchipped - please scan"

I have a mini essay on my dog tags lol. I have:

our surname
house number, postcode
my mobile number
hubby's mobile number
Microchipped & Neutered
NEEDS MEDICATION

We have two tags on each of ours phone numbers for us and the vet, and the other has their medical needs and chipped and neutered on it.

I did house name, first line of address & postcode on my last tags (missed out a couple of lines). My feelings were that local people would recognise the postcode and probably be able to track down my address, and if they were picked up further away then I doubt they'd bother dropping the dog back so didn't need the full address anyway!
Perhaps a second tag with your vet details could be worthwhile and then a lost dog could be handed in to your vet as an alternative option?
