How often do you all groom your dogs?

How often do you all groom your dogs?

during the summer months I only have to give my two a quick brush in the evening but now whilst it's all muddy and wet I have to spend at least 15 minutes on them twice a day, they tend to bring half the field home with them on their coats when the weather is like this!!!

Mine only get pampered when my nieces come the younger one a "hairdresser/fashion designer/make up artist rolled into one. But the two dogs and the two cats are hauled out for a makeover then :smt044

AND before anyone says it my animals are not PLAYTHINGS or HURT in anyway.
The cats are more than capable of saying NO but actually love being combed (they are both short haired elderly moggiesin their 20's) and will sit for hours being brushed.
Sal loves it and will happily model hats etc, the pup sadly :smt077 eats the hats still though so isnormally only subjested to th brushing and teeth cleaning :smt023

Left to me the dogs get a bath when theyev rolled in something horrible :smt018 and a quick wipe with achammy when I thnk about it. :smt078

Karen (sorry seem to have gone emoticons :smt027 crazy today)

i brush tob throu every other day but it takes around 30 mins + each time.
then i spend around 1 hour or more on him on a saturday checking for knots etc.
if he is going to a show i brush him every day for a week or so before to try and get all the loose out.
if i did him once a week it would take me hours.
it took around 3 hours to bath/dry/groom him throu the other day.
big dog lot of fur!
