Time to watch it again......

Certain films "get" me and I re-watch them time and time again. The Quiet Man, The Green Mile, Scarface, Braveheart, Rob Roy, and many, many more.

Today's "get me" film is "Remains of the Day" but somehow I don't think I'm going to be able to talk Bazzo into it. He tolerated me watching Schindler's List for the umpteenth time yesterday, so I have little chance of a win double.

Any films "get" you?

I am the same 'Walk the line', 'The Shawshank Redemption, 'Independence Day' the list goes on and on, one that I have really gotten into is 'Twilight' then the hype arrived which slowed me down on it, but if I just focus on the film I love it

I know what you mean, there are lots of them from The Birdcage to John Q to Dusk til Dawn

One of my very favourites is Collateral, which is surprising as I dont really like Tom Cruise but it is the most beautiful film I have ever seen

ooh yes.. starting with "Truly, Madly, Deeply" (has me in tears every time)
"The Mummy/ Mummy Returns" ( gawd, I love that man in a skirt thing)
"The King and I" ( or maybe its bald heads? )
"Robin Hood Prince of Thieves" ( brilliant dying scene by the sheriff)
"Its a Wonderful Life" ( so true)
and finally, "Ghost" ( oh how the hairs on my neck stand up when the bad guy is carried off screaming!)

It's a Wonderful Life just HAS to be watched near to Christmas. That film never fails to reduce me to a gibbering wreck every time.....

Yes Vicki, there are some with me, hardly any of the more recent films I'm sorry to say.

Dr. Zhivago and Cassablanca come to mind, but the one I rate my all time favorite, and could watch anytime is The Third Man (It's that closing scene which has almost no dialogue but never the less it says it all about life and love)

If you ever see it come up on TCM do watch it and do make sure you're not disturbed at the end

Yes, a great film, the trouble in out house is that near to Christmas it's almost impossible to watch a film all through with out interuptions and I hate it when you're really getting into a film and someone or something distracts you
