Anyone showing this weekend ????

We have one at Sacrewell farm on Sunday,The Peterborough and District Canine Society Open show.
It would be great to get something as its our hometown,we only live down the road too so it will be nice not having to travel too far in the heat with a 'baking Beagle' in the car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck!
We are going to the Munster Utility Champ show in Clonmel, I have to take the trophy back that Polly won last year, Deccy is entered and I will show him but Polly will stay in the motorhome in extreme comfort on the rear bunk and Polo for company. The vet said she was fine to travel and might perk up a bit at going out somewhere new. I will be able to park a few feet from the ring so she won't be on her own for more than five minutes. I will take her for short walks around the showground and she will enjoy the new smells!
Weather here is cool and breezy with rain and gales forecast for tomorrow so she will not get hot.

All the best to you,Hope Deccy does well.....yet again ..He deserves it
I vaguely remember you saying about taking the trophy back.Hope you all have a good weekend and Polly enjoys herself too.
Theres no Beagle class for us so we're in AV Hound, Avnsc Hound and stakes i think (i can never remember which classes i've entered no matter how many times i write it down???????) So we'll see..................

Thanks, we have a Dalmatian specialist who knows about Polly so if Deccy plays up he may be forgiven!

Hope you know about disqualifying yourself from the group if you go Best AVNSC Hound then get beaten in one of the other classes....... Been there, done that!

Certainly!
The AVNSC Hound is the equivalent of the breed class so there will be a "BOB" declared which will go forward to the Group just as though it was a Beagle BOB. This is so that any breed not scheduled for can have a chance at going into the Group so they don't miss out. However, the Group is for unbeaten dogs only so if you do any other classes as well, you can't go in the Group. I think you can withdraw on the day from the other classes to remain unbeaten, but there should be mention of this in the schedule or ask the show secretary on the day because sometimes you can't - my memory isn't as great as it used to be!
If you are 1st Beagle but not first overall in AVNSC, you don't go into the Group since only the 1st overall gets to be "BOB AVNSC" so you can go in any other classes you have entered anyway.
Hope this makes sense!

Good luck to all who are shorwing this week end

We have two shows this weekend the first is Greenock it is an Open show and we do have a Borzoi Class albeit only an Open class so both boys are against each other, which I am not happy about, but in minority breeds like ours you have to enter to keep the breed class Open. The second is a Limited Show held by the Hound Association of Scotland, again only one Borzoi class again open so again a repeat of the boys both is the same class.
still looking forward to them neverthe less. I enjoy it and if yu win its a bonus. If you loose I am still bringing back in my opinion what are the two best dogs.
