Post-Holiday Blues

Murphy has the post-holiday blues!!

Since we got back on Saturday he has not been himself.

Both boys were very tired on Saturday, so when we went out for the evening, they stayed home (we would have taken them with us otherwise).

On Sunday, they had a friend over to play and spent all day running around like loonies

Then it was time to get into our normal routine again. Both boys were quite subdued on Monday morning, and Murphy spent all morning sat on his bed, and had to be taken outside.

During the evenings, he has just sat on the sofa or his bed and humphed.

Yesterday, he had wee-d on the floor when we got home from work (and he hasn't done that in well over a year)

I checked him over and he isn't in pain or anything and he is eating and toileting as normal (other than the accident)

Max is completely normal, to the point of bouncing around the house trying to get Murphy to play.

Whilst we were away, the dogs were with us for 24hrs a day for the full 7 days... could Murphy be 'suffering' from so much contact and having to go back to his normal routine??

P.S. Will download pics from cameras and post them, I promise!!

PS - just a thought - how can you be certain that it was Murphy and not Max that pee-d?

Because they both pee differently. Murphy never stands still to pee, and whenever he has had an accident it is absolutely everywhere in a pee-trail, where as Max will do a puddle....

The accident started on the bed, wandered round the kitchen and finished up down the back door and dishwasher... that's a Murphy-wee

Sorry but I had to laugh at that.

At least from your point of view, it does make it easier to know who is the culprit!

Monty went through the exact same thing when we came back off holiday in Wales. He sulked for a few days, he huffed at everything, he wouldn't go out for a pee, if we wanted to go out he wouldn't come in from the garden. It was a painful time!!

He got over it eventually but it took the best treats money can by and a lot of fuss!!

And i'm looking forward to seeing these photo's!! I want to go to Scotland next year so need some photo's evidence of Boxers enjoying it to convince the other half!
