Gripe Water Any Good

Any views on Gripe Water? Carys seems very gripey (sp?) and writhes a bit sometimes, going purple in the face. She seems in discomfort and being neurotic I took her to the doctors (almost said vets there ) who wasn't at all worried. I try to ensure she has breaks during her feed (sadly I have had to stop breast feeding) and wind her frequently but she still looks in discomfort and brings up some milk too.

I used Gripe Water and Infacol with both mine, both helped - I think Joseph must have a secret stash somewhere as at 6 years old he does some surprisingly huge burps!

Casting my mind back to the dinosaur age when my daughter was a baby, I seem to remember her father hunting and gathering a minty flavoured liquid called Ug ug ug g ugg ug which translated means gripe water - it was very good too!

Oh yes I used Infacol for Rhianna but I remember when Laura got colic she would scream everynight and was really bad with it so the doctor gave me some medicine called Belladonna and it was brilliant and really worked.

infacol is the best ...give her a few drops before each feed which will help with the colic.
gripe water if i remember right is from 3 months old, where infacol is ok from birth.
other than that you could get fennel from boots and mix it withpre bolied water and give it her as a drink which again is ok from birth.
most places will sell infacol and it does help.
