What is this blood blistery thing??

Loui has this tiny red blood blister thing on his head!

At first I was thinking it was a tick but my last dog never had one so I'm not sure if this is a tick or some kind of blood blister.

As far as we know Loui hasn't been bitten by anything but he does love the long grass so I suppose it's possible he could have been bitten. It isn't bothering him but he isn't too keen on us touching this thing and he is normally a very tolerant dog

Any suggestions??

sounds like a tick, examine it closely. ben had one and it looked like a blood blister, unfortunatly i caught his with a comb. he yelped like mad.
