What won't you feed?

Just out of interest really. What raw food items won't you feed your dog?

The only thing that turns my stomach is chicken heads, but I still feed them if I get them

There is nothing that I wouldn't feed

Ox tail and the very large bones (purely because of teeth breakage)

Don't worry - I have 3 at mine at the moment (4 elsewhere) and I'm not bothered - OH was 'cos he thought the dogs would instantly go and kill ours - so I got one out after them eating rabbit the day before - no problem at all. Although Louie has this thing about Rabbit ears - he likes to lick them and how he took them and ate them off that wild one he had yesterday - I don't think he'll be near the pets for a while

You soon get used to it, I fed raw naked rabbit, then progressed to a headless one, then got called a wimp and made fun of so fed him a whole (but gutted) one yesterday.. If you can't watch them eat it - watch from a window (Louie eats outside) and I just kept checking he wasn't choking or dead or being bugged by birds or wasps and he put what was left over on my back door step and asked to be let in, the leg and bit of back he left over is in the freezer for tonights meal.

To answer the question.. I'll new so I feed what I'm advised best to and whats not best too at this stage

Can think of anything I wont feed really. Not too fond of minced items (apart from tripe) so i'll avoid those if I can. I'd much prefer to feed the item whole as opposed to minced or chunks.

Apart from the things he isn't allowed because of purines etc, it would have to be horse or donkey.

If it digested ok I don't think there is anything I wouldn't feed.
I avoid cereals, too much bone and raw eggs.
Such a lot I haven't tried like the whole prey so I can't say for sure.

Short of items that we know are toxic to dogs, I will not feed raw potatoes.

I prefer not to feed cereals (although in an emergency and when I am travelling I do keep some Natures Harvest in the car which DOES contain rice as well as cereal free Orijen)

Terms and conditions apply, other products are available.

I have fed most things to my dog including horsemeat, ostrich, buffalo, crocodile (the latter which came as a windfall from an acquaintance who works in a restaurant that specialises in exotic meats)

Otherwise everything as they say in moderation.

Large bones from cattle legs: I don't want to risk my dogs' teeth.

Sheep heads. Tried those this week, dogs LOVED them. But the house was STINKING afterwards, with bits of jawbone and teeth in their crates.

So I'd only feed those again if it was somewhere outdoors and I didn't have to clean up the leftovers.
