Just heard someone was raped in the woods i use almost daily

Just walked the dogs and noticed a few police going in and out a couple of the neighbours houses, heard them say to next door

Something about house to house enquiries as not sure if you heard on the news........ that was all i could hear

Anyway i was expecting a knock and it never happened. So i just logged on to a police website and it seems that on friday a 22 year old women was raped right by my house in the woods. This is where i walk all the time. The other thing it said was it was 8pm. Again this is the time i tend to go out with the dogs, as its alot quieter and i can let them belt around at full speed without being to concerned about too many other people being up the woods.

I was so close to going up tonight a bit later, it was about 8.40 and it was just getting a little too dark for my liking so we walked somewhere else instead.

I shall be a bag of nerves going up there now......

I hope they catch him soon, poor women.

I moved here a year ago, and to start with was a little worried about doing the woods on my own. It has a reputation for "flashers" but no more than that.

Ive never seen anything, and now don't worry too much, but am always very aware of other walkers and where abouts they are. Probabley still go up just earlier when there is more people around.

Can't remember if i actually went up friday, nothing strange stands out recently.

Poor woman, the people who do stuff like this are the scummiest scum. Best way to deal with them would involve A tall building, a shorter lengh of rope and a nice heavy weight.

I find it shocking that local folk aren't informed about what's gone on !

This was my reaction, Phil.

How are people supposed to take sensible precautionary measures if they don't know the facts.

It astounds me, really it does

I really hope they catch him soon, it must be very worrying for you (though hopefully the size of your dogs would scare off someone like him).

That poor woman I really hope they catch the evil basket quickly.
You be careful going there on your own in the evening, just stay safe.
