Bettas (Fighting Fish) & Marine Tank & Mudskipper

I used to keep and breed these, imported them from Thailand and Singapore. STUNNING fish im hoping to get back into now i have more room. I gave most of these away when i moved house as they were all in seperate tanks so just would have been a nightmare to bring them all. And some, of course, were ones i had several years ago so are no longer with us.

Anyway, found a load of pics so thought i'd share

LOVED this one!

And i also had a little marine tank which i loved! It all crashed when i went on holiday for like, 3 days. Really disappointing.

Only pic i can find, but it wasn't finished here

And clown fishies! With a wrasse.

And i also had a pet mudskipper years ago. Only decent pic i can find of him!

They're great. Stunning colours.

I've always fancied having tropical fish but I think they'd be too much of a tie.

They really do brighten up a room

They're not too much of a tie, i recently changed the type of tank i had and just sold all of the fish that were in it

Oooh, yeah, post pics Suze!!

I've just ordered a batch of killifish eggs so probably should be getting them sorted before i take on more bettas

Marine tanks are beautiful, and a real project so good if you enjoy that. But SO expensive, mine cost me about £2000 just for a little 20gallon one. Then of course, they're so tempermental as you say lol. You HAVE to do daily water tests and if anything is wrong sort it right away or, like mine, it can just crash and everything dies. Once they've been set up for a year or so though, they're much easier. Its when everything is settling that you get the problems.

Great pics, One of my fave types of fish. I am thinking of setting up a small tank in the new year with one and a few neons/cardinals.

I wouldnt put them with neons unless you go for a short finned betta. Neons are evil and nip the bettas fins!!

Yes, i had corals, live rock (the expensive part) and fish & inverts. Upgrading to a bigger tropical tank might be a good idea

This is a killifish:

Had no problems last time and that was a longed fined male.
Head and tail lights on the other hand were a totally different matter.
