Poor dog! Makes me so MAD when people say guard dog. This just means, 'left outside all hours and no one gives a toss'!

Fingers crossed he lands on his feet, but the ad doesn't really give him a chance.

Poor girly, How can anyone advertise thier pet like that. Mind you they are obviously desperate to get rid of her offering her free.
I hate to think where she will end up, probably left outside barely thought of except when they want puppies from her. A bit like where poor Shady come from.
I wonder if she has ever known love, fuss and attention.

Poor girl I don't hold out much hope that she will get a decent home. I wonder if GSD rescue may be able to help? You could try emailing them Honeysmummy, with the full advert and link?

Hi, Thanks I have contacted a GSD rescue to see if there is any chance they may look at the ad and see if they can do anything.

Difficult, cos dog may end up getting really good home on the other hand may be used as a guard dog in wrong way or as a breeding means

I've heard a lot of people rehoming dogs to 'guard dog type home' because the dog's not friendly.

A while ago, I took a dog from someone who could no longer cope with his aggression but he was severely scarred, thought to be brain damaged and very unpredictable. He ended up being put to sleep because he was a danger to people and dogs and was clearly suffering.

I was asked by a few people 'couldn't he go to live on a scrap yard?' or soemthing similar. Why does it seem that leaving a dog unattended to guard a scrap yard, still living with the insecurity and fear that causes his aggression would be better than having it put to sleep humanely??

Edit: Obviously, in an ideal world we'd have sorted the dog's problems out but between us, we didn't have the ideal situation for him to be in and nobody else was going to take him on.
