Follow up from a conversation Boobah and I were having last night

What would you do...
Your out for a nice walk when suddenly you come across a crow, pecking the life out of another wee bird or squirrel, the injured animal is in a bad way,
Would you
a. let nature take its course ?
b. shoo the offender away and try to help the injured animal ?
or...c. shoo the offender away and put the injured animal out of its misery ?

Looking forward to some replies, don't rush in now, the last choice could be construed as murder

It would depend on the extent of the injury tbh, many birds will die of shock even if only slightly injured, x

A if it was nearly dead. B if I felt it was savable. C If then I discovered it was beyond help.

If the other animal was deff alive i'd shoo the crow and try and help the creature and if too injured I still wouldn't be able to kill it so would probably just nurse it 'til it died.

Obviously it will depend on the extent of the injury, but normally I just put them out of their misery.

A few years ago I had to put a cat out of it's out of its misery, as it had been hit had by a car and it's whole back half was as flat as a pancake. So I did the kindest thing I could under the circumstances as it was in alot of pain and there was no way it was going to survive a trip to the nearest vets as this was on a county lane.

I would hope I would do A) or C) unless I really could help and then I would do B) but I think most of the time it is probably better to just let nature take its course, however upsetting to us.

If it's in a bad way then probably A.
B only if only slightly hurt and it was a bird. If it was a squirrel I wouldn't bother as I could get bitten and also it's illegal to release then once you've been nursing them.
C if it was very bad and I had Tonto with me to dispatch it, as he's done with myxie rabbits before.
