Reassurance regarding Monty's "Bits"

This might be a completely stupid question and maybe completely normal but it's been bugging me for a while so i'll risk the embarassment

What colour should a dog's testicles be and does it vary depending on the colour of the dog??

Monty is fawn in colour but his balls are really dark in colour, sort of purpley grey.

Is this normal or should I take him to the vets to get checked out??

I'd be happy to post pics if anyone actually wants to see them or will help the diagnosis!!

Thanks in advance for the help.

Murphy's were a dark brown/purple colour, almost 'bruise' colour (before he had them off!)

I tried to do multi quote but for some reason it won't let me.

Steph - unless anyone really wants to see a picture of Monty's man bits i think i'll give that one a miss!!

Lorna - Nothing like vegging out when trying to get rid of a hangover, must have been some night!!

Shelley - Bruise colour is a perfect way of describing it, thats why it concerned me but other than that they seem completely normal.
