Anyone used Durham Animal Feeds?

I've just been having a 'discussion' with my OH about getting our dog's food from Durham Animal Feeds.

I usually get all his meat from the supermarket, but it's getting pretty expensive. My OH was wondering how come the products from DAF are so cheap even though it's all been passed as 'fit for human consumption'?

So I wondered if anyone has bought their products and what did they think of them?

I can't understand why my OH is bothered, but there you go - he's a man

I use DAF at the moment and have found them to be fine, my woofits love the meat and I have had no problems with the quality. However since you live in Durham I would recommend you collect it, as its cheaper, and because they always get my order wrong and end up leaving something out. There are also two delivery rate costs, and I have never had an answer to how to get the cheaper rate despite asking several times

Would you say the meat is good quality? Can I ask which products you buy from them?

Cheers!

I'm not going to use them because of the minimum order of £50 and limited freezer space

I cant rate them highly enough. I use alot of raw food and Landywoods cannot deliver as often as I need so switched to DAF and find them brilliant.
The quality of meat is excellent and my dogs thrive on it without any problems.
With you being in Durham a pick up shouldnt be a problem and by far cheaper than delivery.

Animal the difference in costs is if you have a delivery over £50 worth your order will be at the cheaper rate.
Hope that helps

Once I've run down our supply of frozen stuff, I'll be taking a trip over there I think.

LOL. No by far nothing wrong with it and great value.
Ask for Lee and tell them Laura Kirkham sent you, you might get a free sample. I asked for one before my first order and got a huge box full

I ended up buying a whole new chest freezer for the dogs!

Thanks for that! I'll do that for sure.

I'm a member of Freecycle so I'm keeping an eye out for a chest freezer on there
