Its difficult to say.

Did it start after a play, or walk could he have injured himself.

He may be ill and have temperature etc, i think if it was me and he has cryed all day, and i didn't know why i would take him to a vet.

I actually took him out this morning and one of my neighbours was walking here staffy bitch and I asked her if she was in season and she said that she was!Its starting to make more sense because he is constantly looking out of the window and crying...and this morning has started to try and hump things and also scratching at the door!
Also there have been 3 dogs I have never seen before running around our street making nose and with out there owners??
So Im pretty sure that is why he been acting so weird:smt002
I thought he was to young to be intrested in female dogs, but he must be an early starter???
Anyone know how long it will last, if it will get any worse??
The howling and humping are driving us all mad!!

Nothing will make it better until she is out of season I'm afraid! To avoid it in the future either get him neutered or you can try the new form of chemical castration so he keeps his bits which is a 6 month implant.

Dogs can smell a bitch in season for blooming miles away - so there might be even more soon!! Can't you get him castrated or is he too young? That would cure the problem, coz I really think that's what it is. Good luck!
