Ladies and gents, boys and girls, the Show Sec would like to apologise for the delay of the
Hound AV presentation.
It appears that a dog being prepared for the Fancy Dress class slipped out of the dressing area because he spotted the vicar walking past eating an icecream.
The dog tripped the vicars wife in his haste to relieve the vicar of the ice cream. The vicar dropped his cone - which unfortunately landed on the head of a passing Papillon.
It is taking a little time for the Show Sec to investigate the incident and to sort out reimbursing the vicar, getting an emergency groomer to see to the Papillon, getting a Brandy to the traumatised Papillons owner, and finding the vicars wifes` wig which came off when she fell.
A guide dog in training being walked by a blindfolded puppy walker, [ as part of an obstacle test ], was walking past the vicars wife at the time of the incident.
Please would people within the virtual Show ground watch out for the young Labrador which according to witnesses in another part of the Showground appears to be foaming at the mouth and throwing her head around a lot - it is likely to just be the platinum blond curly wig in the dogs mouth and which may be dripping with drool.
The puppy walker being blindfolded will have prevented him from realising the Lab may need a
little more training for ignoring distractions.
The owner of the original culprit would appreciate help in retrieving her dog which was last seen heading for the Jacket Potato van.
He is described as very friendly and completely approachable, so if you see a Great Dane in a pink sparkly tutu, white tights with a hole for his tail, and trailing a feather boa behind him please do not be alarmed.
If you would`nt mind bringing him to the secretaries marquee you will be given vouchers for lunch in the Showgrounds VIP restaurant by way of thanks for your assistance.
As soon as the whole situation has been resolved to the satisfaction of all involved, the presentation for
Hound AV will commence.
Thank you all for your patience
The Show Secretary
