sorry I can't help, but my year old boxer has extremely dry skin too, no sores though. Every time I brush him I end up with a pile of "dandruff" on the floor!!

Hello Measles The sores may be due to scratching poor little chap Have you had the vet check it out? The causes can be many and varied from fleas and a skin infection to a food allergy or a reaction to something in the enviroment . I would see a vet first, then if nothing is found look at the food or other possible causes

eeore Your dog should not have scurf or flaky skin that is noticable and this indicated a problem which may be caused by diet. I feed Burns food, it is excellent and contains no additives and gives dog a great skin and coat

If the vet eliminates any serious cause for it try a mega mg evening primrose oil tab once a day, its really worked for my once baldy, flakey skinned buds. His fur is shiny and thick now!!

See your vet first to make sure its nothing apart from just dry skin and then try 'quistel'...comes in a shampoo and spray and works wonders.
