Ronnie

Ronnie is a one-year-old, male Fox Terrier and Scottish Terrier crossbreed, who came to the Mayhew on a recent rescue run. A confident, friendly and lively boy, he is very playful and loves nothing more than chasing a tennis ball in the park or playing with squeaky toys. His new guardians will be taking on a fourteen-year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.

Ronnie loves tripe sticks and tummy tickles and sitting on your lap for cuddles and he enjoys playing with other dogs, though a little nervous around bigger ones. He travels well in a car, and will need a minimum of one hour of off-lead exercise every day. We do not know if he is toilet trained or if he is ok to be left alone.

Ronnie is a typical lively young terrier he will need to go to training classes and time will need to be spent keeping him entertained. He will also need regular grooming. Ideally we would like him to find a home with someone who has owned Terriers before. He would happily live with another female dog and teenagers; he hasn’t been tested around younger children. His new guardians will need to spend time working on his socialisation around other dogs as he will occassionally take a dislike to some. He also has a habit of nipping at strangers ankles so has to be muzzled when walking off lead in the park.
