Terrible as this is,but where the heck are the adults when these attacks are taking place??? Babys are not capable of looking after themselves so why were these dogs (breed is irrelevant) allowed to be alone with the baby???

As much as i love Vegas-he is still only a dog with canine desires and i wouldnt leave him alone with a child.

I TOTALLY agree with you Steve, and the parents in the baby who died case, seems to be totally innocent!

Was it the dogs fault they were not socialised?

Was it the dogs fault they were kept alone on a roof?

Was it the dogs fault they were not trained?

Was it the dogs fault they were left in the hands of other people?

Was it the dogs fault those people had a baby?

Was it the dogs fault that a HUMAN left a door open?

Was it the dogs fault the baby was alone asleep at the time?

Can you really blame the dogs?

Dawn.

OMG this is not good news But there always seems to be a string of this sort of thing, I have seen in the past all sorts of little mongrels being called a staffie, and if its black and tan its a rottie or with long hair a gsd. the question is how many mongrels are pigeon- hold into the first (so called) devil dog breed they most appear like.
lab X anything = staffie lab X ?? mastiff as its fawn and big ....................................aand on and on and on

This probably wouldn't have made the news had the baby from the other day not died.

Hope this little boy makes a full recovery.

Just makes it all the more important for people like us to continue to promote our dogs. Gotta address the balance and let people see that it's only a small minority of dog owners who need run outta town.......

i'd like to know who the owners are and what they do to these dogs!

surely this has to point to owner negligence now, its happening to often
