Close encounters of the hedgehog kind

Today found another hedgehog in our garden and the dogs decided to investigate. Tammy took her time but Jasper, typical male, charged at it like a bull in a china shop.

Tam gave it a little tap with her foot, Jasper decided to PICK IT UP

Needless to say he dropped it rather quickly and ran inside shaking his head as he did so but...... did he learn his lesson? Nooooo he came back for another go and this time got his nose pricked by the spines

He's okay (Jasper I mean) he just had loads of hugs and a check over to make sure he was okay.

Penny always used to hunt hedgehogs. The strange thing is, she could carry them around in her mouth!!!!

Well said Sal!!

What amazed me more then anything is that Jasper is quite prepared to pick a hedgehog up but runs from cats?
