Lily cocker spaniel.....good retriever?

Do you think Lily would make a good gun dog, retrieving all the birds? She is like this most of the day, constantly carrying one stuffed toy or rubber chicken in her mouth, she's very gentle with them too.....the rubber chicken by the way, was destroyed by Inca!

Looks like a natural to me........years ago my Nanna kept Hens in her garden and her Cocker Spaniel used to go out every morning, gently lift the hens off their nests and collect the eggs! She said she never broke a single one and could carry quite a few at a time. They do have lovely soft mouths don't they.
