Sunny Sunday Chat 23rd May

Good morning everyone

Don't know where my post went yesterday

Lovely here at the moment and I think it may last until this evening. Taking Barry to the hospital later for an eye appointment but nothing else planned.

How is the flat sale going Chris? We are hopeful that Ben can exchange this week as all the paperwork should now be done. All this was meant to have been done before the 31st March! Both his and the seller's solicitors are not the fastest on the planet

Hope all are well

Hve a good day and stay safe.

Morning Sue
I really hope the sale gets pushed through this week for your son.
It's not sunny here at the moment but it's not raining so that's a bonus!!
Just a little tidying up today and that's all my plans.....such an exciting life I lead

Good mid morning all

Bright here but not sunshine. Not a bad day so far,

Sue On a side note but relevant to your post I post and they disappear too; my brother in law has a hospital appointment today too. Glad the sale is coming to completion . One step closer.

Griff Such excitement, LOL. Glad Steve feels able to "OFFLOAD" to you rather than lock it in.

Chris Life would be so boring for you without your lads requests...LOL Any news on your new neighbours or the downpipe? and how is your sale coming on?

Moyra Hope all is good with you and Steve.

Brenda Bet you are out walking now; are you thinking of staying where you are in the flat or is it long term?

Lynn Did you put the bricks in to stop people parking on your driveway entrance.

As above re my brother in law. for a colonoscopy yesterday was his birthday and due to being offered this appointment earlier in the week as a cancellation his birthday meal was cancelled due to his diet pre op.

They are checking for cancer they have done the camera down the throat (came back clear) they are asking about throat/lung cancer in the family and his Dad and uncle and G.Dad died of/with lung/throat cancer so kinda worried. But he is not or says he is not; also been told his Pagets is in activity again massively so more chemo infusions.

The pagets has caused his recently new hip and knee replacements to move significantly he is being referred to the specialist one of two in the Country to see what can be doneto help with this.

The scan for that showed that he also has urgent need for spinal surgery he has tingling and coldness in his arm/neck/dizziness/extreme shoulder pain and headaches as well as nausea. The hospital consultant has told him he could end up in a wheelchair/paralyzed but due to his pagets he needs to be referred to the afore mentioned specialists as the Paget's disease seems to disrupt the bone healing post op like his hip and knee.

He has already lost about 80-% of his hearing as the skull is affected, and has misshapen ankle joint not the leg with replacement joint in. He is also having a scan due to possibility of Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) Not raining but it pours when Stu goes to hospital.

This morning my sister informs me he has been told he has Graves’ disease which apparently WHY he is having eye issue.

This on top of thyroid issue which have caused significant weight gain which we put down to less exercise due to bone issues and general health.

I personally think that and having Multiple sclerosis, and fibromyalgia do not help with any diagnosis or treatment he is already on morphine for pain. Such a shame he does try but struggling and moving his way through the medical alphabet at a rapid rate.

Kazz, so so sorry to hear about your BIL, life certainly seems to dump a lot onto some people when others who are rotten get away Scot free!! I hope they find a solution to help him live more comfortably
Lol....I wouldn't say it's easy to get Steve to open up, it's usually on the back of an argument.....then he will start speaking. Pretty much everyone I know has said that they would have ditched him by now, I see their point entirely. I didn't call him last night.....he didn't call me, I haven't called him this morning....he hasn't called me. He has a long weekend off work, I have a bird bath here for his garden...he has made no attempt to make arrangements to collect it, I have spent £250 on his garden trying to make it a calming environment so he can look out at it/ sit in it when he is feeling down and it being a pleasant environment instead of a dull boring garden, can't say it's done any good!! I can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped and I feel I have done as much as I can for him..... it's his problem and he needs to deal with it..... that's not to say that I am turning my back on him but I need to look after me now, my own life isn't great and there's only so much you can give

Good afternoon all.

The flat sale is stalled at the moment. Apparently, the buyer's solicitor left and it was overlooked assigning a new on. Had a go at our solicitor and thought things would move now. They're not moving at all from what I can tell. Solicitors grab money for shoddy work as far as my experience goes

Dave had a fall in town this morning and now has arm and chest pain. I'm guessing that it's from the jolt his arm took trying to break the fall. If it's no better tomorrow, I'm make him go for an x-ray on it

Gary had a beautiful roast dinner delivered up to his flat. He says it's too cold to go down to the cafe because they are having to keep the doors open. I wonder if there's a spare flat going there?

Your BIL is certainly going through the mill, Kazz. I do hope they can help him

Good evening everyone.
Weather up and down here again today.
Managed to get some washing dry so a bonus.
Dillon was very unstable on his left back leg today, he didn't seem to mind though he wanted a walk and a reasonable distance for him.
Eating well and being cheeky still, will keep an eye on it.

Sorry to hear about house sales having slowed down to a virtual stop.
Hope Dave is ok Chris.
griff think you can do no more.
Kazz no we never did it, neighbour who had 3 cars parked on the road and one on the drive, has now sold one off the road so he now only has two on the road and one on the drive.
Only him living there. Sorry to read about your BIL.
Neighbours the other side having a brick wall built between us, they told us ages ago it would be happening, and when it was confirmed knocked to give us the date so we know to put Dillon on his lead in the garden before opening the side gate.
It got delayed, but they knocked to day to say it is starting tomorrow. We will gain about 12 inches on the front as they are lining up with the wall of the house, the wooden fence had a small dog leg.
Nice to have neighbours that worry about the dog.

Keep safe everyone.
