Should large ladies wear stripes?

Vertical? Horizontal? Wide? Narrow?

my mum is larger and she says YES!!!!!!! just make sure you get the right size or slightly bigger, she reckons stripes look bad when people don't wear the correct size (she always buys stuff and sits there taking stuff in Lol)
