Should floating ribs be visible

Stumbled across the site while looking for info on floating ribs in puppies
Can anyone advise if it's normal for a floating rib to stand proud of the rib cage ?
It pretty much depends on the angle he stands at but if his back is arched to the left one of the rear (presumably floating) ribs stands proud of the ribcage occasionally.

I seem to remember from somewhere that its perfectly normal
Dog is fine just wondering if I should mention it to the Vet.

Thanks in advance

I hope it's normal because Betty's does that especially when little madam has refused to eat her lunch.

I dont know about puppies but my vet said it was ok for my adult dog . My vets seem to like lean dogs, However, I increased his food a bit as I thought he looked too slim.
