I have a new dog ... meet Kai

Want to meet my new dog , his name is Kai and I just adopted him from the Bandofhope.RomanianRescue.



He's sooooo thin , and thats after a week of his fosterer feeding him up so you can just imagine what he was like before that ... stroking him I can feel every rib , but that will change in good time
He's tiny too ... just a bit smaller than my Gypsy , bless , probably because he hasnt had a proper diet for most of his life

He's about 18 months old and from Bucharest in Romania. He was found in an open field where he was living with his wife and litter of pups , all of them are now in the UK in their new homes

He paced around a lot at first looking for a way out but soon relaxed and found a toy to play with

He's lovely and with your care he' ll be fattened up in no time

Im giving him half a mug of skinners field and trial maintenance for breakfast with natural yoghurt mixed in ... for dinner he gets natural yoghurt , honey and a raw egg ... and for tea he is getting cooked chicken and boiled rice

Also giving him treats now and again , he likes carrots

Oh Rozlyn, Kai is gorgeous! He certainly knows how to play and and enjoy himself - what a pleasure to see that happy face and wagging tail!

Aww! Kai is lovely. Well done on rescuing him. I'm sure he will pay you back 100 fold

He's doing fantastically well , he's learning house-training , his name and sit , lie down , leave it and come here all using the clicker , he's a fast learner too when foods involved , lol

I am having a problem with stress pacing , but I think its just because he was a stray his whole life so used to his freedom and now he isnt so it'll take time adjusting

Photos dont do his eyes justice , they are far prettier and bright and you can really see his intelligence shining through them in 'real life'

Just heard about rescue remedy pets , so ive ordered some , hopefully that will help with his stress pacing
