Hill walkers

Now I know folk like to walk in the hills fair play
But having watched 13 car loads set off for the hills in weather like this makes me shudder
Here today we have had flurrys of snow all day no visibility on the high tops
My concern that 8 have had their dogs with them ( collies /labs /and what looked like a very young puppy
Some looked well equipped others not so ,but did they have concerns to their safety let alone their dogs
Heard on the news of 3lost in avalanche in glen Coe
Stay safe everyone

Are they completely mad no one in their right mind would go out in this type of weather without the proper equipment, let alone with very young dogs.
I do hope they make it back alright.

Yeah it's not the best time to go out in the hills. Just saw on the news that some are feared dead after an avalanche in Glencoe.

People need to pay attention to the forecast, its stupid to risk your lifeand that of others for a walk, no matter how beautiful.

Latest news

Four people have died, one woman seriously injured, and one apparently unhurt.

What a stupid waste of lives, hill climbing in such weather. Risking the lives of the rescuers in the process.

Anyone, however experienced at hill climbing is a selfish booger to go out in appalling conditions. An accident can happen to anybody, a trip, fall, getting lost etc., and it then means the Mountain Rescue have to go and rescue them, putting their lives also at risk.

I hope the remaining car load of people and dogs make it down safely.
