Anyone else have a dog like Buster?

Anyone elses dog like him? Hates a bath but does not mind a swim?

Yep Jet is the exact same, he will run away and hide when he knows he's getting washed, or even just cooled down on a hot day with a spray of water. Yet............take him to a river or the beach and he is dives straight in!

Same as small (human) boys - won't go near a bath but love to jump in muddy puddles and play with boats

The TM is a muldark and he loves getting filthy. But anybody would think that when I'm trying to clean his feet with warm, clean water that I'm using hydrochloric acid.

Yep, Paxton looks at me like im torturing him at bath time and honestly has been known to jump over puddles to avoid getting his feet wet if he can but look at this

Apparently swimming at the beach is ok in his world as long as there are no waves!! He is also quite fond of wallowing in mud when he is hot which unfortunately usually results in the bath torture, he does quite like sticking his head in the shower for a drink tho which is def a shock when you least expect it!!

He's not related to Buster in some way is he? He sounds just like him

I've got a couple that way. Will literally struggle in the tub but won't get out of the lake.

Maybe i should start taking shampoo down the beach!

You know, Cleo, our GSD was the same, detested bath time but show her a river and she was in like a shot. Mum took to bringing the shampoo with her and just washing her in the river...one less stressed owner and a much happier (and cleaner) dog
