Hi from Scotland

Hi everyone!

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this forum!

I'm Andi and my dog is called Aika. We moved to Scotland last year and are enjoying the Scottish way of life, hehe.
I'm from Belgium, but Aika is a Spanish lady through and through. She's a mix between a Spanish greyhound and a Podenco.
She has 2 brothers and 2 sisters who all got adopted by Belgian families.

I got Aika when she was 1,5 years old. She's my second dog. She turns 5 in March.
In Belgium we have done obedience and agility, which she loved. Aika is a very gentle, sweet natured dog. Indoors she tends more to the greyhound side: calm, quiet couch potato.
Outdoors, her wilder side comes out. She can be a real daredevil sometimes. She loves to jump off and on things, preferably 3 metre high rocks and such...

Here in Scotland we like to go for walks, and the best thing is that I can let her off the lead without worrying too much.

The thing I miss most about Belgium is going on walks with my best friend and her Weimaraner.
We used to talk and walk, and the dogs used to run, play and get lost in the bushes sniffing after rabbits.
That's why I'm so glad to have found this forum. Perhaps there's someone here who can join me and Aika now and then on our walks, or if there is someone who has great tips and suggestions for walks.... please let me know. I'm still getting to know the area, so anyone who can provide me with good advice, welcome welcome welcome!!!
I am dying to build up a social life here, hahaha
