RIP Jimmy Saville.

After watching the documentary with Louis Theroux I really went off him as a person and found him to actually be quite a strange character.

Thats really sad remember watching him all the time on TOTPs in the 70's.

I've just seen it on the News at the same time.

RIP Sir Jimmy.

The news said that although he was very well known, he didn't have any family and very few friends. Seems very sad

I think it rather sad that a man who gave so much of his time and money to charity has, it appears, died all alone.....

I really used to enjoy Jim will fix it. To me he always seemed to speak and treat children as he did adults. He also did loads for charity but I did have the sad thought he was "lonely and alone" RIP

He was one of those lonely characters, like Benny Hill, who worshipped his mother.
He called her The Duchess.
I heard a good quote on the radio from another DJ who reckons no one really got to know the real Jimmy, as when not in private he was always his larger than life character.
He did so much for charity though.
