Do you 'bomb' your house???

The other week, I bought a flea bomb and 'bombed' the house while we were away. I did this because the cat that lives next door has been getting in through our window and has fleas...... and then I learnt that the person who lived here before us actually OWNED the cat, so thus it lived here previously (more on that later).

Anyways, do any of you 'bomb' your house? And why?

Which bombs do you use and how often?

Just a note: this was done before we left the house to go on holiday, no animals or peoples were in the house being bombed

never, but phoebe has never had fleas.

i do buy the spay and go round the skirting boards every now and again but thats for my insect phobia more than fleas as the spray also kills most bugs that are stupid enough to come in my house

I spray the house and car with Indorex or Acclaim every 6 months as I do not use flea products on my dogs.

I'm just so concerned that your JRT let a CAT into the house that I can't think of an answer to your question!

If a cat entered my house, it certainly would not be leaving on four legs...................

My dog loves cats more than he likes dogs! He would welcome a cat in

Same with my Westie - she's fine with dogs, but adores cats!

Sorry, in answer to the OP, no, I don't.

I flea treat my dogs though. They have never had fleas.

Parker's thinking of opening a "Terrier training school" to teach these cat-friendly miscreants how to behave!

I remember my Cairn terrier suddenly diving into a bush when out on a walk and coming out with a cat (formerly asleep) in his mouth. A man came along and shouted at me for hitting my dog on the nose to which I replied "I am trying to get him to drop the cat"!

acclaim is a good one to use, just make sure if you use a spray that it is one which kills both adult fleas and prevents eggs and larvae from hatching.

If you don't get one of these sprays (which do cost more money) -- They sell them in pets at home. Then you will just likely be throwing your hard earned dosh away. Even some of the big name brands are pretty pants!

Just remember read the tin carefully and make sure it nukes everything and stops those horrid eggs hatching otherwise in a few weeks.. the circle of life will happen all over again.

Not so sure about the bombs, the same would go i would say. Read carefully, you want to nuke them! Declare war on the little pests. -- im itching as i write this and think about them.
