A Southerner Up Norf @ Xmas

After having a very busy and difficult year I decided to get away on my own for a week over Xmas. I booked a small cottage in a village called Seahouses on the Northumberland coast. Just Jago and myself from the 23rd to the 30th December.

Had a great time just winding down and not having to please other people at Xmas.

I did not even take that many photographs during my stay but here's a few of those I did take

Starting with couple of shots of Seahouses from the beach early morning

And jago enjoyed the beach and dunes even though they were covered in snow

We had loads of walks along the beach (every morning) and a couple of times walked to Banburgh Castle

Just inland, the ground was totally covered in snow, something Jago had never experienced before

I would thoroughly recommend the area as a place to go to chill out especially with dogs. Found a fair few pubs that welcomed dogs and he was spoilt by all the attention he received from the locals.

Lovely pics, glad you had such a nice, quiet time, be it a tad on the cold side!

Crikey, Steve - that's a blast from the past for me!

As a kid I spent many happy holidays at Seahouses and Cullercoats and swam in the North Sea with my Dad. After a couple of minutes, your legs turn blue and you go completely numb.....

Great photos - thanks for sharing.

Hope things are better for you now, hon.....
