I`m not sure I`d be expecting a 9 month old dog to settle much tbh. IME they`re either comatose or up to something.
Do you mean when you ask for a Sit or in the house?

does he wee after you have gone out?

does he do this near the fornt door?

has the front door got any scratch marks on it?

how much exercise does he get everyday?

what ***sort*** of exercise does he get each day?

how do the people interract with him in the home and what type/level of attention does he get?

and how did you raise him?

I have pmd you.

dangit it won`t let me.
Let me just say... there are other trainers out there in Essex. Maybe a second opinion would be helpful.
Can I recommend Gill Lewis at Crofters Kennels, Rayleigh?

And if you read The Culture Clash by Jean Donaldson, it`ll give you something to judge trainers against. Sometimes trainers get it right, sometimes they don`t. You are the expert on your dog. So it helps to read as much as possible so you have a grasp of basic behaviour.
