behaviourists - most of them talk nonsense. Do you agree?

Sorry, but I think 99.9% of them talk a load of clap trap. Anyone else agree?

Aaah yes, the 'Barking Babes', they were a real credit to their 'Profession'

I think it's far to easy to set yourself up as a 'Dog Behaviourist', you only have to look in the various dog magazines, there a numerous courses, most of them 'study' from home

"throw Will's dinner in the field to keep him occupied"

yeah. righto. and as I am picking up teeny tiny pieces of burns that he's refused to eat, he is back in the house stealing the roast

i saw the post on the other site Chloe.

occasionally i have a read over there but its very rare i post, as i'm a novice dog owner hopefully doing my best i'd hate to word a post incorrectly and be jumped on.

i would rather exhaust other avenues before having to seek a behaviourist.

oh yes Carole

Looby - I am getting increasingly irritated with the other site and going through one of my "provocative" stages. Its not the site owners fault - its the bl**dy know it alls who wind me up If that OES were mine I would reduce his protein and drag him off the sofa and put him in his bed until he learned to behave himself!

Anyone notice too that there is more and more pressure nowadays for dogs to behave like Little Lord Fauntleroy and any time they display anything remotely dog like in behaviour the owners are panicking that they have some sort of uncontrollable beast on their hands? Even as tiny baby puppies "My 8 week old puppy growled. Has it got a bad temprament"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
