Time to get another Collie

Ok, so I have had two Border Collies die on me in as many months - one from old age and the replacement from epileptic like seizures, so, dear wife and myself thought we would look again at offering a forever home to a suitable dog.
Hopefully for a bit longer than a month this time........

Well, a visit to two animal shelters for a nose around resulted in lots of staff's of all types and colours, but no Collies. but a call to a private rescue recommended on here has started the ball rolling with hopefully a home visit soon to see if we are suitable.

I never realised how empty the house is when you open the door and there is no dog there to greet you with a huge smile and a tail wagging so hard it's bum might just fall off.

A week off soon so maybe come mid October it will be back to the usual chaos of dog walks, training and grooming - O deep joy, can't wait.

As they say "third time lucky...."

I hope you hear that pitterpatter of doggy toes really soon. I bet there's the perfect one waiting for you to come get them!

Sorry for your double loss.

But pleased to hear you've started the search for a new rescue Collie companion. Lots of luck with your search for a new friend.

Big day tomorrow - home visit from the Border Rescue place to see if we are suitably barmy enough - finishing work early today to reposition the dust and do a bit of bakeing and gardening.
Heart skipped a beat yesterday when I looked on their website and found what appears to be a family of 4 Borders just there and looking for homes - dare I try to have two if they let me??
