seen them on a ttouch course...apparently they are very good, but I haven't used them. Was thinking of trying them with Dan though as he is quite anxious at times.

Any more info on these never heard of them. Are they like those tight hugging vests that some dogs wear to help relieve stress?

Calming bands cover a variety of bands and wraps.
I think Mahooli is thinking of the full body wrap that always reminds me think of Egyptian mummies. However there are other bands like sweat bands that dogs can wear on their legs and you'd hardly notice them. Bands are used on the face or other parts of the body depending on the issues being addressed.

Wearing the bands has a calming effect on the dog and makes him more body aware.

I used the leg bands with Dale when he was reacting badly to traffic and it seemed to help. I also tried out the full body wrap on a Ttouch course and I was surprised at how happy he was to wear it. Without the wrap he was moving his tail more to one side and with it he held it in the middle, if that makes sense.

If you're interested in Ttouch try to have a look at Sarah Fisher's books.'Unlock Your Dog's Potential' is quite good.

http://www.mekuti.co.uk/calm_bands.htm

I bought the leg ones from this site. It might give you some idea.
The wrap is really like a roll of bandage but you can get get sort of vests that look like t shirts.

It you scroll down that site and cllck on wraps, leg bands etc. it gives you some pictures.
