Unable to send texts! Please help!

My mobile won't let me send any text messages. I feel cut off from the world!

I have credit in my phone, I can receive texts, and make and receive calls.

I've phoned 02 and they have suggested a few things, which I've tried to no avail.

They include re-entering a text service centre number and switching the phone on and off!

They said it might be a phone problem. How can it be an actual handset problem if everything else works fine? I don't get it.

The only other thing they can do is send me a replacement sim card and see if that helps.

ETA: I have a signal and the messages I've tried to send are sitting in the Outbox. The Status of these messages are 'Queued'. I've tried sending to several different people, so it can't be someone else who has the problem.

Any help or advice from any of you in the know, so to speak, would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Oooh I had something similar...I couldn't receive texts..I spent hours on the helpline and the thing that corrected it was simple.

I had to take the sim card out and then put it back in again. Not sure if this will help but must be worth a try.

Good luck xx

If I ever get a queue in my outbox, I find it just tends to get totally blocked up - this is only my take on it - so it is as if there is some sort of problems with text 1 and that then blocks up text 2, 3, 4 etc. If you get my drift - say like a blocked drain.

when that happens I delete them all, take out sim and then start again.

Well, I deleted all my text messages, switched off the phone, removed the battery and sim, blew on the sim and then put it all back together again, and would you believe it.....it worked! I was able to send texts after that!

Mind you, I definitely think blowing on the sim made all the difference and was the deciding factor on whether or not I would be able to send texts again.

Thanks for your help!
