A nose problem - looks different. (inflamed area -infected scratch? burn?)

Think I noticed this last night.

Got some pictures so you can see what I mean.

Do you reckon she has just scraped it or something??

Note the right hand side of her nose.

It does look like a scrape but it is difficult to know for sure, is she bothered by it?

It looks a bit like a scrape/scratch but if it doesnt start to clear up or starts to cover more area I would definately have it checked out by a vet.

Keep eye on it, if it starts to spread Go to Vets.

From the picture it looks as if some of the cells of the outer layer are lifting and it may be a burn (heat or chemical) or some type of infection. Can you see if that area is hotter than the other side? It also looks as if there is some damage on the lip below the area of the nose. Not sure what to advise really as most scrape damage is to the centre area of the nose it is hard to say, think only you can tell if your particular nose should visit a vet or not.

Taken another look and there seems to be small spots, blisters or damage just to the left of the division on the lips below the nose.

I agree thordell - that's what I thought it looked like.

There is nothing she could have burnt herself on.. I am wondering whether it could in fact be a carpet burn from chasing about?!!

It does not bother her in the slightest.

Suppose it could be a carpet burn but difficult to see how she would manage to get that part of the nose on the carpet and enough speed to cause a burn.

Ah, photos make it hard to tell but from the lowest image it looks as if the lip may be a little swollen, what do you think comparing it with the other side.
