Cathy, female Pointer x ?Lurcher, DOB 2011 Godstone, Surrey
Cathy, Pointer x ?Lurcher, DOB 2011 Godstone, Surrey
Homing Requirements: Cathy needs a dog experienced family who can support her in carefully controlled dog encounters as she is exceedingly novice. Cathy needs a secure garden with 6' panel fencing and good door and gate security. Cathy can suffer from car sickness at this stage but may settle once familiar with regular journeys. Cathy needs to be an only pet.
Her Story: Cathy was surrendered as 'dog aggressive' at a young age and the label has spoilt her chances of finding her home. Cathy is learning to settle when out walking with other dogs and needs a gentle leader or halti to support her as she seems over concerned and can be fixated initially. Cathy is neutered, chipped and fully vax'd. Cathy is kennelled near Gatwick, East Sussex.
Advert: Cathy is novice and struggling to acquire skills at a belated time especially in her dog socialisation. For this reason Cathy needs an experienced training orientated family who can take command and guide her so she can progress to relaxing and eventually enjoying other dogs company. We could not see her loss her life when she has so much potential yet to be unleashed. Cathy is clean in her kennel and welcomes stranger and all with affection.
Cathy is a medium crossbreed, possibly with Pointer x Lurcher genes. She is visually astute and often amazed in her incomprehension showing very little exposure to life as a young dog and little socialisation outside. Her instincts are good and she is learning in situ as best as our circumstances allow but she needs a worthy home to bring her through and offer her the foundation she so deserves.
Please note that this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found.
