Dog Breeds Section Photos: How to submit yours!

If anyone wishes to raise what they believe is an inaccuracy or discrepancy in any of the breed profiles, they may do so by creating a thread in the Feedback section.

The breed profiles were created after research on an international level - although we are a UK based site, we have an international readership and wanted the profiles to reflect his.

Health issues concerning the breed internationally are almost always included - so we will probably be unable to remove mention of any even if they are not specific to the UK.

If we've missed any health issues, please let us know - however, please provide links to reliable sources confirming the issues, or, have the chairman of the associated breed club email us the details (this must be from an official email address and a contact telephone number must also be included).

Any other issues you wish to flag up must also be backed by links to reliable sources or again, sent in by an official representative from the associated breed club.

PLEASE NOTE: We won't automatically append profiles just because feedback is sent in, however we will look at each case and act on feedback given if we think the information supplied is accurate or applicable.

Thanks.

If you want fame and fortune (well ok not so much of the latter!) for your dog then why not send in your dogs photo for inclusion in our Breed Profiles?

So long as the pic is of reasonable quality and your dog is recognisable as his or her breed, then it has a good chance of inclusion!

Send in up to 5 of your fave pics of your dog and we'll choose one which we think goes best on the page

Any type of pic is welcome - send us the ones you love the most!

The info we need for each pic is:

Dogs Name
Your Name
Your Location/Country
Your Dogsey Username

EMAIL to: my dogs photo @ dogsey . com (without the spaces) PLEASE PUT THE BREED NAME IN THE SUBJECT HEADING this is very important!

If you have more than one breed then you can send pics for each breed. However if you have more than one dog of a particular breed then we can only include one of your pictures per breed - so if you have more than one dog of the same breed and want them all included, send in a pic with all of them in it

You can see the placement on this example profile: http://www.dogsey.com/boxer.htm

The photos will be placed underneath the heading:

eg:

Even if your breeds profile has not yet been written, please do send in your pics to reserve your spot Soon as the profile is then done we can add it

If you have any questions please ask in this thread - however, please do not post pictures in it as we can only use them if you send them in by email.

Please only send in pics that you took yourself or own copyright of.
Please note by submitting pics you are giving us indefinite permission to use them (even if you stop being a member). See our full terms and conditions for more info.

What about the top spot on the breed profiles?

The top spot, i.e. this image:

Is reserved for pics that show off the breed in the best possible light. The dog must have excellent conformation and the pic should be of almost professional standard. The dog should also be shown in the side profile as in the pic above. This is so all breeds are represented in a fair manner.

If you feel you have a pic that does your breed justice and meets the above criteria please feel free to send us it in addition to your normal (5) pics.

Use the same details and format for sending in as per the normal pics as stated in the above post, but also feel free to include any info about your dogs success in the show world. You may also submit the dogs registered name if you like

Not all submitted pics for the 'top spot' are used/meet the criteria, so be sure to send in pics for the members photos area too

Backlog cleared!

For those of you who already submitted pics, this is a quick note to say the backlog has now been cleared and if your breeds profile is up, your submitted pic should be up too. If it's not please re-submit as it may have got lost.

Update: Photos currently on hold

Just a quite note to say all photos are currently on hold - as the breed profiles are in the process of being transferred to the new dedicated breed profile site that will be launching this year.

For those of you who's photo is already up, if I still have your original photo they will also be transferred automatically, if not I might need you to resubmit (but I should have the original photos - so long as I can install windows on my Mac to get at them!).

Thanks for your patience.
