Axel's 2nd holiday and 1st dog show! (Greyhound)
Well, we had an eventful weekend, Axel settled into camping sooo much quicker than last time - proof he
can retain things if he wants! We had a lovely time, we walked into Beddgelert (anyone know that story?) and saw a sign for a dog show that day. I thought we could go and have a look, good socialisation for Axel.
We arrived and it was packed, apparently its a 39year tradition. There were classes for working terriers, lurchers and hounds. The hounds were foxhounds (Welsh) and beautiful and Axel loved seeing all the lurchers, really happy. I was told I could enter him in the lurcher class (smooth males over 23 inches) and so I thought why not. He's not had any classes, but trotted beautifully around the ring and next to me and stood beautifully. He was a bit nervous of the male judge, but didn't fall apart, so thats a bonus and a good learning experience for him
Thought you'd like to see pictures of his 1st show and his holiday
(He was the only unplaced dog in the class, oops!
)
Standing next to the winner (and winner of 18 such events)
Good job it was outdoors!

Sadly the holiay got cut short and so we never got to the beach
We had a mini-tornado in our campsite and our friends tent got thrown 60ft in the air and completely destroyed
