Brave

I know this has been done to death recently but last night, Loki was set upon by a red setter (pardon the pun )

It wasn't too bad, we were walking (on lead) past a house and this setter came charging out of a car that was on the drive (no lead in sight, let alone owner), stood over Loki and growled really threateningly at him. Maybe territorial because completely unprovoked. Loki was cool though and he just stared unflinchingly up at this dog. He didn't back away, growl or bark, just stared. I don't think he's scared of anything.

We 'persuaded' Loki to come away from the other dog by gradually tugging the lead.

No owner appeared though. Glad it wasn't a kid walking their dog because the setter looked pretty fierce.

Hi LS ,glad Loki is ok Irish Setters are as a rule placid dogs though it is normal for a dog to want to protect what is theirs. I think when out with dogs we just have to be prepared for any unforeseen situation and should assume many people won't have trained their dogs, after all a large number don't bother to train their children either.

Yeah most setters I've met go all dotty and sweet. Maybe he thought we wanted to nick his car.
