Grrrrrr! I suppose I'll have to go through all this shortly, when my new iPod arrives - fortunately, I have a teenage neighbour who is Mac-wise and can assist. If I get any tips, I'll pass them on!

P.S. - Are you using a Mac or a PC? If a Mac, what OS is it running?

(As far as I can gather, to run the latest iTunes, you need OSX 10.3.9 or later???)

I'll ask about, Luke - one of my PC-using pals has kids who download a lot of music (I don't). I was looking to d/l iTunes this morning, but I'm afraid that the OS on this laptop is too old (OSX v 10.3.7) and I may have to wait until I get my G5 online, which means going to broadband (it has OSX 10.4.0, which won't talk to dialup).

I'm more likely to use my iPod with my existing CD collection and DVDs (once I get the software to convert them), rather than download stuff, though.

You're getting out of my reach here, m8! Try this link and see if it's of any use to you. The fact that the message says "Unknown Error" suggests to me that it's your PC playing tricks with the software!
