poorly pup

As you know buster has been ill. He seemed to get a bit better yesterday arfter an injection, but this morning he was worse and wouldnt eat or drink so we had to make him eat the tablets, he was then sick 2 hours later.Took him to the vets today he had another injection which realy hurts him i think its penacilin. We are not allowed to feed him and have a tablet to give him which he has had it wasnt easy to get him to swollow it tho. We have also got to syringe rehydration formula into his mouth every hour. He has been sick a little while ago and has had a wee. but apart from that he hasnt moved at all he only just lifts his head.

I think we will phone the vet soon. but i think she will say to stick with it as i have an appointment tomorrow.

Thanks for listening
sarah

Hi Sarah,

I'm sorry your pup is so poorly. If you are at all worried, phone your vet irrespective of the appointment tomorrow. At the very least it will set your mind at rest that waiting is ok. Will be keeping fingers crossed for Buster! Keep us posted as to how he is doing!

Best wishes,

Lesley

Thanks for that Its nice to know all you dog lovers care so much and the advice is a godsend. I think we will ring the vet. I wish i was the one that took him to the vet and not hubby as he never seems to ask enough questions.
I dont belive it buster has just shown a little interest in a toy maybe the tablet is kicking in i do hope so . we get the lab results in a few days we will then know if its parvo problem is as you all know 2 days wait may be too long.

Cassey so sorry buster is not well, as the others say if you are worried at all ring your vet, otherwise buster may like a hotwater bottle wrapped in a towel hope he is better soon.
